The second World Celadon Conference and the 11th Cultural Tourism Festival of Longquan Celadon and Sword opened in Longquan, Zhejiang province on Nov 16, 2019. Various guests, including Carmen Fontes, Spanish consul general in Shanghai, attended the opening ceremony.

The three-day event was co-sponsored by the Palace Museum, the China Arts and Crafts Association, the China Ceramics Industrial Association, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, as well as the Economy and Information Technology Department of Zhejiang and the Lishui Municipal People's Government, and undertaken by the Longquan municipal Party committee and government.

Carmen Fontes delivered a speech at the opening ceremony and said that Longquan's celadon and sword were symbols of excellent traditional Chinese culture. Spain and China had carried out trade in goods through the land and maritime silk roads before the 15th century. She hoped that the cultural exchanges and industrial cooperation between two countries could be strengthened through the event.
