The demonstration zone for eco-friendly integrated development in the Yangtze River Delta recently released a series of measures to drive its financial integration.

The 2,300-square-kilometer demonstration zone - Shanghai's Qingpu district; Suzhou's Wujiang district in Jiangsu province; and Jiaxing's Jiashan county in Zhejiang province - sits in the middle of the delta.

The 16 measures focus on integrating financial services in different districts, facilitating mobile payments, sharing financial information, and more.

"People can use a public transportation card to travel in any district in the zone, and use an electronic card to access healthcare services in any hospital," said Lyu Jinzhong, director of the statistics and research department of the People's Bank of China Shanghai Head Office.

The measures also include cancelling cross-regional charges for financial settlement services, encouraging investment in eco-friendly companies, and helping innovation-driven companies to go listed.
