Dynamic testing of the Zhejiang section of the Quzhou-Ningde Railway started on Aug 12, local media reported.

The Quzhou-Ningde Railway links the southwest of Zhejiang province and the northeast of Fujian province. It starts from Quzhou in Zhejiang, passes through Lishui's Suichang county, Longquan and Qingyuan county in the south, crosses Baizhang Mountain, and then enters Fujian province. The railway runs for 379 kilometers.

The main line of the Zhejiang section is about 206.8 km long, with 16 stations, including five new intermediate stations for passengers and freight, including Lishui's Suichang, Songyang, Qingyuan counties, and Longquan.

The railway is of great significance for consolidating the achievements of poverty alleviation in underdeveloped areas along the line, promoting local tourism and economic development, and improving the layout of the regional railway network.
