Yuhuang Shannan Fund Town
The Yuhuang Shannan Fund Town, which occupies one square kilometer along the border of the West Lake and the Qiantang River in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, is home to nearly 3,000 financial institutions which manage assets worth more than one trillion yuan ($154.3 billion).
The small town has numerous Chinese-style courtyards that are being used as office buildings for financial firms.
Several years ago, the town was only known for its ceramics market, workshops and warehouses. After a thorough upgrade of the environment, the town is now an ideal office site for investment fund firms.
The town, though quiet in the day, springs to life at night when its residents finish work and head to the scenic spots for a stroll after dinner.
