A 26-minute bilingual documentary entitled Falling in Love with Wenzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage, a co-production between the international channel of China Central Television (CCTV4) and Wenzhou Overseas Media Center, started shooting in Wenzhou on June 18, local media outlets reported.

The documentary follows Ergashev Akmal, a Tajikistani social media influencer studying at Wenzhou Medical University, and Dobrynina Alexandra, a Russian senior manager who works at an American company in Wenzhou.

The TV program follows the two expats as they learn about and experience first-hand Wenzhou's time-honored intangible cultural heritage items, showcasing how the city has been making efforts to preserve and promote the cultural relics abroad in recent years.

Alexandra's story will focus on her daily work with Ou Kiln, an ancient porcelain kiln that was popular in Wenzhou from the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220) to the Song Dynasty (960-1279). Akmal's story will focus on his studies as a surgery doctoral student while keeping an active in role in cultural exchange activities on movable-type printing in Rui'an, a county-level city of Wenzhou.

The documentary is currently shooting in Lucheng and Ouhai districts and Wenzhou Medical University, and has gained strong support from local governments.
