Authorities in East China’s Zhejiang province recently released guidelines to promote the construction of future communities in the province.

The guidelines specified that about 1,500 future communities will be created in Zhejiang by the end of 2025. These future communities will cover about 30 percent of urban communities in the province.

The guidelines encourage government agencies, enterprises and institutions to open up their premises and facilities to provide space and resources for the construction and operation of future communities, as well as to promote future community construction and the renovation of old urban communities.

The guidelines state that Zhejiang will also establish databases for future community relationship and future community public service facilities, form a unified urban and rural housing coding system in the province, and improve the community digital smart service platform.

Financial institutions have also been encouraged to provide credit support, guide funds and insurance funds to future community projects.
