Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province secured $120-million-worth of intended deals at the 133rd China Import and Export Fair, which concluded on May 5 in South China's Guangzhou city.

The figure represented an uptick of more than 20 percent compared with the 2019 edition, before the COVID-19 epidemic.

This year, 330 companies, including 69 first-timers, from Huzhou attended the fair and set up a total of 688 booths. Both the number of participating companies and booths hit record highs.

New products brought by Huzhou-based companies to the fair, including nano UV sterilizers and foldable rocking chairs, proved to be hits at the event.

The China Import and Export Fair, also known as Canton Fair, attracted buyers from over 220 countries and regions this year, as it resumed all offline exhibitions for the first time after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
