"A Date with China" 2023 international media tour embarked on its visit to East China's Zhejiang province on Monday and a launching ceremony was held at Tianyi Pavilion, or Tianyige, in Ningbo city.

The 4-day tour, highlighting civilization exchanges, economic cooperation and mutual benefit, will lead over 50 domestic and foreign journalists, foreign experts and foreign internet influencers to Ningbo and Zhoushan of Zhejiang, where they will participate in the third China-Central and Eastern European Countries Expo and International Consumer Goods Fair, unlock the secrets of rural revitalization, and explore the profound heritage of Ningbo and Zhoushan as historical and cultural cities. They will also showcase to the world Zhejiang's embracing of innovation and willingness to expand openness.

Zhejiang province is at the forefront of China's reform and opening-up, vigorously advancing the goal of common prosperity and regional modernization. Ningbo and Zhoushan, located in the southern wing of the Yangtze River Delta, were among the earliest regions in China to open up to the world and serve as vital cities on the Maritime Silk Road.
