Jiangshan among China's top 100 counties in development potential
The county economic research center of CCID Consulting released the list of China's top 100 counties in terms of development potential in 2023 on Nov 7.
Jiangshan, a county-level city of Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province, ranked 59th on the list.
The list was based on a county investment competitiveness evaluation system that takes into account government service capacity, investment vitality, factor attraction capacity, infrastructure support and natural environment, and evaluated the investment competitiveness of 1,864 county-level administrative divisions in China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan).
In recent years, Jiangshan has focused on the development of industry, urban and rural landscapes, and tourism. According to statistics from the Jiangshan statistics bureau, Jiangshan's fixed asset investment grew by 20 percent in 2022, and the growth rate reached 24.1 percent from January to September, ranking 12th in the province.
