A Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight train left Yiwu on Dec 19 with 100 containers of small goods bound for Madrid, Spain. Another train – X9216/5 – departed from Jinhua with 100 containers of various products bound for the five Central Asian countries on the same day. The total volume of cargo carried by the train exceeded 188,000 TEUs, more than the whole of 2022.

This year, the freight train also carried more high-value-added goods, such as solar panels, cars and parts, and electronic devices like mobile phones and tablets.

In addition, the sources of the transported goods are becoming more and more diversified, and the range is gradually expanding from Yiwu to other areas of Zhejiang province, and even to Shanghai, Fujian, Guangdong and other places.
