The Chinese TV show Ode to Joy and the documentary Qiantang River Tide, translated and produced by Haining Base of China (Zhejiang) International Cooperation Experimental Zone for Film and TV Industry (HFAIT), were recently screened in Turkmenistan.

This collaboration is not without precedence, as HFAIT previously partnered with Turkmenistan in 2021. The TV show Our Youth, produced by the base, was broadcast in Turkmenistan and received positive feedback. Impressed by the response, Turkmenistan extended an invitation to HFAIT to bring more Chinese TV shows to the country to enhance cultural exchanges.

HFAIT's head expressed the hope that through the showcase of these two outstanding works, the people of Turkmenistan would gain an appreciation for Chinese scenery and a deeper understanding of Chinese culture.

Established in 2012, HFAIT has attracted nearly 600 film and television enterprises. To date, it has produced and exported more than 20,000 TV shows and animations, with a cumulative operating income exceeding 22 billion yuan ($3.1 billion).

The base's works have been exported to more than 100 countries and regions, including Central Asia, South Asia, Eastern Europe and Africa. This success has solidified HFAIT's position as an important film and television export platform not only in Zhejiang and the Yangtze River Delta but also in the entire country.
