On Jan 1, a China-Europe freight train carrying 100 containers of Chinese goods such as machinery, textiles and daily necessities left Yiwu West Station for the five Central Asian countries. This journey marked the commencement of all Yixin'ou (Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe) freight line operations for the year 2024.

First launched in 2014, the Yixin'ou China-Europe freight line has experienced steady growth, establishing itself as an efficient and convenient logistics channel for exporting small commodities and other products. In the year 2023 alone, Yiwu operated 1,608 Yixin'ou freight trains, marking an increase of 2.48 percent year-on-year and exceeding the 1,600 train mark for the first time.

The range of products transported by these trains has diversified over time. From Yiwu's small commodities such as daily necessities, the freight service has expanded to high-value, high-added value, and high-tech products such as automobiles and accessories, photovoltaic products and machinery.

Zhou Huawei, an Yiwu Customs official, stated that in the new year, Yiwu Customs will continue to advance the construction of intelligent customs infrastructure and further enhance the convenience of train clearance processes.
