East China's Zhejiang province aims to create over 1,500 future communities, including more than 430 exemplary urban and rural landscapes and over 1,000 future villages, by the end of 2025, according to a recent press release.

The province has already established 501 future communities, 272 exemplary urban and rural landscapes, and 567 future villages, with 80 percent generating an annual operational income exceeding 500,000 yuan ($69,701.95), the press release revealed.

It has also developed 83 scenic cities, 986 scenic towns, and 11,531 scenic villages, covering 56.5 percent of the entire province.

In terms of public services, Zhejiang has enhanced the urban "5-minute to 15-minute public service circle" and established basic frameworks for rural "30-minute public service circles" and "20-minute healthcare service circles."

Figures show that the province has so far built 12,000 quality cultural life circles covering both urban and rural areas, ensuring that public cultural facilities are accessible within a 15-minute walk, or approximately 1 to 1.5 kilometers.

Additionally, Zhejiang has also constructed 2,460 "service sites", including daycare centers and community retirement centers for the elderly and children.
