Jiaxing celebrated the 2024 International Cherry Blossom Day on March 23 at Gingko Swan Lake in Xiuzhou district. Over 50 people participated, including Japanese executives, foreign honorary citizens, and recipients of the Chinese Government Friendship Award.

Amidst the gentle breeze, attendees enjoyed the breathtaking sight of cherry blossoms in full bloom. The vibrant hues of pink and white blossoms, alongside other spring flowers like peach and magnolia, added to the picturesque scene.

After a leisurely stroll among the blossoms, participants engaged in discussions on how to deepen international cooperation and foster cultural exchanges. The event also facilitated dialogue on collaboration between academia and industry, exploring opportunities for talent development, technological innovation, and industry-academia partnerships.

The gathering not only provided a platform for mutual understanding among Chinese and foreign attendees but also bolstered the bonds among foreign residents in Jiaxing. Shen Wenping, director of the Jiaxing municipal foreign affairs office, described plans for future initiatives, aiming to strengthen international exchange platforms, promote cross-cultural interactions, and elevate the city's international profile.
