To ensure power supply on campuses and electrical safety during the back-to-school season in September, the State Grid Wenzhou Power Supply Company in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, recently sent out staff members to carry out special comprehensive examinations on the substation equipment. At the same time, the workers inspected the major distribution rooms and power supply lines to ensure electrical safety on campuses.

Due to the summer's high temperatures, heavy rainfall and other weather conditions, the equipment may have safety risks such as decreased insulation performance and aging. This round of examinations focused on the live monitoring of oil-filled and gas-filled equipment such as transformers and circuit breakers. The staff members addressed the issues such as overheating, oil leakage and gas leakage to eliminate equipment hazards. Additionally, the company also utilized equipment such as drones and intelligent inspection robots in a 24-hour working mechanism to perform uninterrupted monitoring of on-site equipment to ensure the early detection and handling of problems and guarantee the safe and stable operation of substation equipment.

During the inspection at Bilian Middle School in Yongjia county, workers inquired about the electricity needs for the new school semester, learned about the suggestions regarding electricity usage, and guided the electricity supply. At the same time, the company developed individual plans for each household, conducted training and provided extended power supply services to further enhance the campus' emergency response capabilities for electrical faults.

As of now, the State Grid Wenzhou Power Supply Company has conducted safety electrical inspections at 48 primary and secondary school campuses. The effort has assisted schools in eliminating hazards and distributed more than 1,200 promotional brochures, demonstrating the company's commitment to providing excellent electricity services for campus use in the second half of the year through practical actions.
