Huzhou, Zhejiang province, celebrated the recent National Day holiday with a plethora of cultural and tourism activities enhancing the festive ambiance across the city.

Data from the Huzhou Cultural and Tourism Big Data Center revealed that by 2 pm on Oct 7, the city's scenic spots, hotels, rural tourism sites, and cultural venues had collectively received 7.373 million visits, generating tourism revenue of 9.106 billion yuan ($1.29 billion) — 7.3 percent and 6 percent year-on-year increases, respectively.

On the first day of the holiday, Nanxun Ancient Town witnessed a surge in visitors. To cater to this high demand, the scenic spot added 1,000 dining seats and seven temporary parking lots, setting a record for daily visitor numbers over four consecutive days.

Embracing the night economy, Huzhou's attractions and leisure streets introduced an array of night tour products. Captivating offerings such as a nighttime water tour, fireworks, and water light shows drew crowds during the holiday period.

Moreover, the city combined tourism with low-altitude activities, providing four flight points and eight routes, spicing up the vacation experience in Huzhou. The immersive "low-altitude tour" at a helicopter flight base in Wuxing district offers panoramic views of South Taihu Lake.

Unconventional activities like kayaking, gliding, and parachuting in Anji county proved popular, making Anji an attractive choice for travelers during the National Day holiday.
