Global photographers explore light and shadow in Lishui

Professionals and fans streamed to the opening of the 2024 FIAP World Photographers Conference at the Lishui Grand Theater in Lishui, Zhejiang province, on Oct 10.
Themed "Transcending Boundaries: Technologies and New Photography", the event – being hosted by the Lishui Municipal People's Government and the International Federation of Photographic Art – aims to showcase Lishui's diverse beauty to the world through the camera's lens.
During the opening ceremony, the "2023-2024 Lishui Photography Index" was released, which includes the Global Professional Camera Evaluation Index, Global Photographic Art Market Trading Index, China Image Communication Index, and the Global & Chinese Photography Creation Destination Index.
According to the Global & Chinese Photography Creation Destination Index results, Huangshan Mountain in Anhui province and the Serengeti plains in Tanzania are the most popular photography destinations in China and the world.
The event has attracted 2,656 photographers from 116 countries and regions, with 568 exhibitions featuring a total of 10,087 works, setting new standards for global participation and artistic excellence.
The exhibitions were previewed on Oct 9 and will run until Oct 15, with several continuing to the end of December.

Additionally, photographers from worldwide will visit Liandu, Longquan, Yunhe, Songyang, and Jingning She autonomous county to explore Lishui's beauty.
The city will also launch five photography and travel-themed routes, inviting everyone to walk into the beautiful mountains and waters in Lishui.
