Ningbo swimmer secures gold medal at World Cup
Yu Yiting, a swimmer hailing from Ningbo, Zhejiang province, claimed victory in the women's 200m individual medley in a thrilling finale at the Singapore leg of the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup on Nov 2. She clocked in at 2 minutes and 3.99 seconds, setting a new personal best in the process.
This triumph marked Yu's first gold medal in the Singapore stage of the competition. Prior to this, she had already secured two silver medals in the women's 100m individual medley and women's 50m butterfly events, giving her a total of one gold and two silver medals. Reflecting on her accomplishments, Yu took to social media to share, "Every time I step onto the stage, I give it my all. At the World Cup, I have no regrets."
Born in 2005, Yu has attracted significant attention as a promising talent for her outstanding performance this season.
