The 20th Anniversary of Qingtian Agricultural Heritage & Premium Agro-Products Export Promotion Event opened in Qingtian county, Lishui, Zhejiang province, on June 13 and will run through June 14.

The event celebrates two decades of protection and innovation in the Qingtian rice-fish symbiosis system — a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System known for its sustainable and ecologically balanced farming model.

Thanks to Qingtian's strong overseas Chinese network, organizers established a 6,000-square-meter exhibition area. The fair features 84 agricultural producers from across Zhejiang, representatives from heritage sites, and more than 300 domestic and international buyers.

Key announcements included the debut of a global sourcing platform and the launch of an agricultural export policy research center, which signals progress in standardizing and expanding local agricultural exports.

The event also introduced the "Best from Zhejiang's Agricultural Heritage" brand plan and revealed key findings from a 20-year study of the Qingtian rice-fish symbiosis system.

At the core of the event is the export promotion fair, with 74 standard booths and six themed pavilions highlighting premium agricultural products and heritage-inspired goods. On opening day, several enterprises reached preliminary cooperation agreements with overseas buyers.

Qingtian, home to more than 381,000 overseas Chinese living in 146 countries and regions, is looking to make the most of this global network. By integrating online platforms and community-based marketing, officials said they aim to drive international demand for Zhejiang's specialty agro-products.
