Zhejiang sees 32.7% rise in inbound visitors during holiday

East China's Zhejiang province recorded a strong tourism performance during this year's National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday.

The total tourism revenue reached 54.68 billion yuan ($7.67 billion), up 8.8 percent year-on-year, according to the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism. The figure marked the highest level since the province began its National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday tourism survey in 2021.

Tourist visits reached 37.6 million during the eight-day break, a 7.3 percent increase from last year. The number of overnight visits rose 11.4 percent to 24.25 million.

Inbound tourism saw notable recovery, with the number of foreign visitors entering Zhejiang through ports up 32.7 percent year-on-year. In Yiwu, hotel stays by overseas guests surged 43.77 percent.
