The Shaoxing Integrate-into-Hangzhou Digital Trade Port opened on Oct 25 in Shaoxing, marking a major step forward in the city's efforts to expand its economy.
The port is expected to become a new gateway for enterprises in Shaoxing and across Zhejiang province looking to access global markets.
Covering a total floor area of 280,000 square meters, the trade port promotes an integrated model combining livestreaming, digital platforms, and cross-border e-commerce.
Since June, more than 40 companies have set up operations, with an overall occupancy rate exceeding 70 percent.
On the launch day, the platform witnessed notable results, with contracts signed for $500 million in exports to Southeast Asia, $300 million to Iraq, and $100 million in vehicle and parts exports to the Middle East — demonstrating the platform's strong growth potential.
According to a Yuecheng district official, the greatest strength of the Shaoxing Ronghang Digital Trade Port lies in its combination of enterprises, platforms, universities, and services, forming a complete ecosystem.
The district plans to build it into one of the most influential cross-border e-commerce demonstration zones in the Yangtze River Delta region, targeting an additional 5 billion yuan ($700 million) in annual trade volume.
