In Jinhua, Zhejiang province, Ronma Solar specializes in the research, development, and production of monocrystalline solar cells and photovoltaic modules.

Inside its smart factory, hundreds of automated guided vehicles navigate between workstations as robotic arms perform precise manufacturing tasks. Since 2023, the company has upgraded its facilities into a 5G smart factory, achieving full network coverage across all production scenarios.

5G, or fifth-generation mobile network technology, offers ultra-high-speed, low-latency connectivity that enables real-time data transmission and machine-to-machine communication. It plays a crucial role in powering industrial automation and digital transformation.

Ronma Solar's 5G-enabled system centers on three key modules: flexible and agile factory networks, intelligent warehousing, and an enterprise digital management hub. According to the company, equipment connectivity, smart manufacturing readiness, and numerical control in key production processes have all reached 100 percent.

The integration of 5G private networks with virtual–real hybrid management allows for real-time quality monitoring, instant data collection, and process tracking, significantly improving efficiency and reducing maintenance costs.

Performance data show that after the digital upgrade, factory productivity increased by 5 percent, module production cycles shortened by 12 percent, equipment downtime was halved, and overall maintenance costs dropped by more than 30 percent — enhancing cost efficiency and competitiveness.

Ronma Solar has expanded rapidly into markets across Europe, South America, Southeast Asia, and Africa. In the first half of 2025, the company's overseas revenue exceeded $100 million, representing year-on-year growth of more than 800 percent.
