East China's Zhejiang province reported 494.4 billion yuan ($69.4 billion) in revenue from its core artificial intelligence industry in the first nine months of 2025, up 22 percent year-on-year.

The figures were released at the Press Briefing on Zhejiang AI Industry Application held in Jiaxing on Nov 8.

In recent years, Zhejiang has made AI-driven innovation a provincial priority. In May, it introduced a comprehensive policy package to accelerate AI development, aiming to build the province into a national hub for technological advancement and industrial application.

The province's total computing power has surpassed 150 EFLOPS (150 quintillion floating-point operations per second), placing it among the top regions nationwide.

Zhejiang has also built a unified public data platform featuring over 42,000 open datasets and 118 authorized application scenarios, 70 of which are already in use. Its public data openness index has led the country for six consecutive years.

As of September, 50 AI models developed in Zhejiang had been registered with the Cyberspace Administration of China. Notably, DeepSeek and Alibaba Cloud's Qwen models both ranked among the world's top 10 on the Artificial Analysis global benchmark platform.
