Group performances were staged in theaters across Shaoxing, where participating teams showcased their talent. After intense competition, the art troupe from Hangzhou emerged victorious.
The solo performance category attracted participants from across China, as well as overseas Chinese participants from countries such as the United States, Canada, and Australia, reflecting the global reach and vibrant energy of Yueju Opera.
Yang Chengying from Australia claimed the first prize in the overseas category. She expressed deep emotion at returning to the Yueju Opera stage after many years, pledging to continue promoting Yueju Opera overseas and sharing the unique charm of Chinese traditional opera with more people around the world.
From the stage in Shaoxing to the global celebration, the carnival connected the past, present, and future of Yueju Opera, using the art form to foster greater openness and youthfulness, thus touching the hearts of more people.
