Jiaxing supports cross-border shipments during Singles Day shopping festival
The bonded zone in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, saw a surge of activity on Nov 11 as cross-border goods raced through warehouses to serve major e-commerce platforms.
At the Sam's Club bonded warehouse in Jiaxing Comprehensive Bonded Zone, products from more than 30 countries were processed for nationwide delivery under the supervision of Jiaxing Customs.
According to Hooray Trading, daily outbound parcels exceeded 20,000 during the promotion period, with peak days reaching nearly 70,000, marking a clear rise from last year.
To keep cross-border goods secure and moving quickly, Jiaxing Customs prepared in advance by forming task teams, planning for peak demand, and adjusting supervisory resources. The agency applied digital tools, including X-ray systems, intelligent image review, and on-screen comparison, improving gate efficiency by 70 percent.
During this year, Jiaxing Customs processed more than 440,000 import lists valued at roughly 230 million yuan ($32.37 million).
