The Hangzhou-Quzhou High-Speed Railway entered its trial operation phase on Nov 20, marking the final countdown to its official opening. The first test train, G55611, departed from Jiande Station at 8:00 am, heading toward Jiangshan Station for timetable parameter testing.
The trial operation, scheduled to last approximately one month, will simulate actual service conditions through comprehensive testing including emergency response drills and simulated passenger services. This crucial phase follows the railway's successful completion of track-laying in April and joint commissioning tests that began in September.
Spanning 131 kilometers and with a design speed of 350 350 kilometers per hour, the new line connects Jiande in Hangzhou to Jiangshan in Quzhou, serving six stations including the newly built Jiande South, Longyou North, and Quzhou West stations. The route features an impressive 78.7 percent bridge-tunnel ratio, reflecting significant engineering achievements.
As a vital component of the Yangtze River Delta's regional transport network, the Hangzhou-Quzhou High-Speed Railway will serve as an important auxiliary route, significantly enhancing regional connectivity and supporting Zhejiang's common prosperity demonstration zone development.
The railway is expected to commence formal operations by the end of December, following the successful completion of all trial operations.
