The 23rd Jinhua Flower and Seedling Expo and the 2nd East China Garden Plant Show took place at the Lipu Flower and Seedling Market in Jindong district, Jinhua, Zhejiang province, from Nov 28 to 30.
Known as Zhejiang's third-largest flower hub, Jindong is a key player in China's floral industry and has hosted the expo for over two decades. This year, over 100 enterprises from 16 provinces and cities — including Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangdong — attended the expo, doubling last year's participation.
The local Cuilin Ecology Family Farm, led by Chen Lezan, presented its horticultural project, "Hundred Fruits Garden", which drew much attention.
"We offer comprehensive garden greening services," Chen said. " Whether it's fruit and pine trees popular with locals, or pomegranates and Chinese flowering crabapples preferred by villa courtyard clients, we turn ideas into reality."
Newcomers like the Hongzhan Garden Company from Fujian province brought trendy potted plants. Executive Director Li Qianzhi said they hoped to forge broader collaborations in Zhejiang through the expo.
The event featured 12 themed areas, covering courtyard aesthetics, premium seedlings, creative designs, and more — offering immersive experiences with real-life gardens and interactive exhibits.
Hu Jinkai, general manager of Jindong Social Development Group, highlighted the event's integration of the entire garden economy industrial chain. The expo not only showcased distinctive products like Jinhua's fingered citrons, but also combined elements like garden materials, designs, and premium koi.
Jindong is also promoting a fusion of flowers and seedlings with ecology, culture, and tourism to achieve a leap from "selling seedlings" to "selling scenery, experiences, and culture".
