Ningbo is broadening its international business network as the city signs new agreements under its ongoing global partnership initiative.
On Nov 28, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Ningbo Committee (CCPIT Ningbo) signed memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with the Argentine-Chinese Chamber of Production, Industry, and Commerce and the Iran-China Chamber of Commerce. These agreements broaden Ningbo's global network, fostering new opportunities for local enterprises in trade, investment, and economic collaboration.
To date, CCPIT Ningbo has built partnerships with 163 business associations across 72 countries and regions, adding 22 new agreements signed this year alone. The MOUs aim to facilitate information sharing, business matchmaking, and multi-form collaboration between enterprises.
"International business associations are vital for trade and industrial cooperation. This initiative shows tangible progress in strengthening these ties," said an official from CCPIT Ningbo.
Local companies are already reaping the benefits. Wang Jing, chairperson of Ningbo Qicai Feige Cultural Investment Co, stated that the agreements helped her company overcome obstacles in expanding vehicle exports.
"By connecting directly with the Iran-China Chamber of Commerce, the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China, and the Cambodian Consulate in Shanghai, we opened targeted export channels and resolved longstanding challenges," she said.
International partners have also recognized Ningbo's potential. "Ningbo's strong manufacturing capabilities align closely with Australian market demands. We will support industrial cooperation, connect innovative partners, and explore niche markets for mutual benefit," said Lin Shiwen, CEO of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.
Ningbo plans to activate dormant collaboration resources, attract new partners, and strengthen links between local enterprises and the global market.
