Two localities in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province have recently been included in a provincial pilot program aimed at boosting industrial development in mountainous counties.

The program will involve sending task forces composed of 374 experts from universities and research institutions to provide technical support for the development of key industries in 15 pilot county-level areas in Zhejiang. Specifically, Xianju county in Taizhou has been included in the program for the pharmaceutical industry, while Tiantai county has been selected for the automobile and parts industry.

These experts will be responsible for various tasks, including improving the concentration and utilization of scientific and technological resources, enhancing the quality and efficiency of leading industries, nurturing talent, and promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in the pilot counties over the next two to three years.

To support the program, the pilot counties will allocate an additional budget of over 5 million yuan ($685,460) annually for scientific and technological innovation projects in the dominant industries.
