The China (Sanmen) Outdoor Jacket Industry White Paper was recently unveiled at a forum held in Beijing, becoming the first-ever white paper dedicated to researching the outdoor jacket industry in China.

This comprehensive white paper delves into the current state, unique characteristics, emerging trends, prevailing challenges, and proposed solutions within the industry. It successfully addresses the research gap that previously existed, further bolstering the influence of the Sanmen outdoor jacket industry and the broader Chinese outdoor jacket sector.

Taizhou's Sanmen county stands as the largest production base for outdoor jackets in China. The county is home to an impressive array of over 300 outdoor jacket manufacturing companies, more than 200 e-commerce sales enterprises, and over 40 clothing brands. The industry as a whole provides employment opportunities for over 30,000 individuals across its entire supply chain.

In 2022, Sanmen's annual output of outdoor jackets and other apparel products reached a remarkable 60 million pieces, generating a sales volume of approximately 12 billion yuan ($1.65 billion). Sanmen's outdoor jacket offerings currently command an impressive domestic market share of 60 percent.
