A total of 746 companies from Taizhou in East China's Zhejiang province are set to showcase their products at the 134th China Import and Export Fair, also known as Canton Fair, taking place in Guangzhou from Oct 15 to Nov 4, as announced by the Taizhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce.

These companies will occupy 2,025 booths at the fair, accounting for 23.8 percent of Zhejiang's total booth count and ranking as the second largest group from any city in the province.

This year's event will have 67 more companies and 265 more booths from Taizhou than the previous edition. In addition, 172 general machinery brands from the city will make their debut at the event, making up 85 percent of all such brands in the province.

The first phase of the Canton Fair, running from Oct 15 to 19, will feature 303 companies from Taizhou in various industries, including electronics, home appliances, vehicles and accessories, machinery, and building materials.

Among the participating companies is Zhejiang Kaihua Moulds Co Ltd, which has applied for a brand booth for the first time at the fair.
