A freight train carrying more than 1,300 metric tons of imported wheat from Kazakhstan arrived in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province on Dec 13, signifying the commencement of a train dedicated to importing grain via the China-Europe Railway in the city.
After a 13-day journey, the train reached its final destination, Toumengang Port in Taizhou. This shipment will effectively cater to the needs of various industries in Taizhou, including animal feed, brewing, and energy.
Looking ahead, Taizhou has set its sights on further diversifying and expanding the scope of trade with countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative through the China-Europe freight trains. This strategic move will enhance economic cooperation and foster stronger ties with international partners.
