A Taizhou-based company has recently been recognized as one of the 13 international science and technology cooperation bases in Zhejiang for 2023, as announced by the provincial science and technology authorities.
The honor has been bestowed upon Zhejiang Hongye Equipment Technology Co Ltd for its fruitful collaboration with four Dutch companies in establishing a base for the cultivation of edible mushrooms. Through this partnership, the company has brought together 10 highly skilled professionals from the Netherlands, Germany, Canada, and other countries, fostering international cooperation in the field of factory cultivation of edible mushrooms.
Hongye has developed a set of intelligent equipment specifically designed for the factory cultivation of agaricus bisporus, commonly known as button mushrooms, effectively overcoming environmental limitations. The equipment has helped bring about a staggering 90 percent increase in mushroom yield, revolutionizing China's agaricus bisporus industry.
In 2021, Hongye was awarded the second prize at the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards for its outstanding contributions to a project focused on researching and implementing complete equipment and efficient cultivation key technologies for annual mushroom production.
Presently, Hongye serves numerous edible mushroom cultivation companies located in Shanghai, Shandong, Jiangsu, and the Inner Mongolia autonomous region. Its high-quality products have gained international recognition, being exported to North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and other regions. This success has in turn helped to firmly establish Hongye as a leading player in the domestic market.
