Print PrintA market expansion and training enhancement conference was held in Yuhuan, a county-level city in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, on Aug 26. The conference announced that 25 local companies will attend the KazBuild 2025 and the Aquatherm Almaty 2025 in Kazakhstan from Sept 3 to 5.
It aims to expand entry into Central Asia and highlight the competitiveness of Taizhou-made products.
Kazakhstan has become an emerging destination for Taizhou businesses seeking new growth. Companies expect to use the exhibition to meet partners, engage in trade talks, and identify local demand. This year, more than 1,300 Taizhou enterprises have joined 385 overseas exhibitions, supported by policies on logistics, financing, and workforce stability. From January to July, the city's total imports and exports exceeded 170 billion yuan (about $23 billion), up 10.8 percent year-on-year, ranking third in the province.
Expanding into Central Asia has become a key strategy for Taizhou exporters. The region's accelerating infrastructure construction and rising demand for products such as building materials, sanitary ware, auto parts, and agricultural machinery closely align with Taizhou's industrial strengths. In the first half of this year, exports from Taizhou to the five Central Asian countries topped 2 billion yuan. Sales to Kazakhstan grew by 46.8 percent, with signature products such as valves increasing by more than 50 percent.
To help businesses maximize results, the event also included training sessions on exhibition regulations, market development strategies, customs certification, and multimodal transport solutions in order to lower trade costs and increase efficiency.
