Taizhou in East China's Zhejiang province established sister-city relations with Lujan, a city in Buenos Aires province, Argentina, on Nov 1. The signing of the friendship agreement marked a significant milestone in strengthening cooperation between the two cities.

Under the agreement, Taizhou and Lujan will enhance exchanges and collaboration across multiple sectors, including economy, trade, industry, as well as culture and tourism. The partnership aims to promote mutual learning, enhance people-to-people ties, and deliver greater benefits to residents on both sides.

Located about 70 kilometers west of Buenos Aires, Lujan is a historic city renowned for its cultural heritage and tourism resources. In November 2024, the two cities signed a memorandum of understanding on cultural and tourism cooperation, laying the foundation for this formal sister-city relationship.

Both parties are committed to fostering cultural understanding and advancing the development of cultural and tourism exchanges.
