Shen Junru
Shen Junru (1875—1963) was born in Jiaxing. He participated in democratic and patriotic activities at his early age. Shen participated in establishing China Democratic League and actively struggled for peace and democracy throughout the country.
In 1949, Shen participated in the preparatory work for the People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and participated in the first CPPCC.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Shen was appointed president of China's Supreme People's Court and vice chairman of the standing committee of the National People's Congress.
