Smart e-commerce industrial park to be built in Jiaxing

An e-commerce industrial park broke ground in Pinghu, a county-level city in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, on Jan 2. It is expected to improve the integrated logistics system of the Yangtze River Delta region.
The park, launched by Suning, China's leading retailer, attracted a total investment of 5.2 billion yuan ($745.77 million). And the total planned construction area will be 370,000 square meters. It is expected to carry out tasks such as creating e-commerce orders and clearing and sorting goods, and will also house an intelligent warehouse "Suning cloud warehouse".
Pinghu is currently stepping up efforts to develop its digital economy, port economy, and service industry, and the e-commerce industrial park is expected to help the city to establish a modern logistics system and foster high-quality development, according to Zhong Xudong, mayor of Pinghu.
Pinghu has taken advantage of its geographical and industrial strength to develop an industrial belt worth over 100 billion yuan with the aim of building a regional cluster for high-quality development projects.
The city has gone to great lengths to attract investment into advanced equipment manufacturing, new materials, and the production of automobile spare parts in order to establish a distinct industrial system.
