E-commerce in Xiuzhou district, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province saw strong growth amid the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak in China, local media reported on Feb 23.

Since the beginning of this year, SoBuy Import and Export Co Ltd has seen a 20 percent year-on-year surge in orders from Germany, Zhejiang Ezymore E-commerce Co Ltd has sold $1.5 million worth of products, a five-fold increase over last year, and Zhejiang Wanglian Maoshanhui Technology Co Ltd has sold 36 million yuan ($5.12 million) worth of products.

Xiuzhou has encouraged local e-commerce employees to work from home since the start of the NCP outbreak at the beginning of the year in order to reduce the adverse impact of the epidemic on the e-commerce industry.

SoBuy, a cross-border e-commerce companies focusing on the European market, took advantage of its 15,000-square meter overseas storehouse to offset the impact of the epidemic on logistics.

A high-level employee at Ezymore, a partner of Amazon.com in the United States, Europe, and Japan, said that Ezymore’s annual sales revenue is expected to exceed $15 million this year as the international logistics gradually recovered.

Unlike the above two cross-border e-commerce companies, Wanglian Maoshanhui helps upgrade local knitwear manufacturers.

After the epidemic started, Wanglian Maoshanhui cooperated with Taobao.com and video streaming platforms Douyin and Kuaishou to market local knitwear via live stream.
