Jiaxing Comprehensive Bonded Zone (B) started operations in September 2016. It is the first zone of its kind in Zhejiang province transformed from an area under customs supervision.

Located in ancient Xitang town in Jiashan county, the bonded zone is just an hour away from Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo and Suzhou by highway or high-speed train.

The Jiaxing Comprehensive Bonded Zone (B) is the first partner bonded zone of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone to be located outside of Shanghai.

Jiaxing Customs, Jiaxing Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, and the Foreign Exchange Management Bureau of the Jiashan branch of the People's Bank of China have set up offices in the zone to offer convenient service to local companies.

A large number of companies are operating in the zone, including Foxconn Technology Group, Futong Group, Huaneng Power Intl Inc and Zhejiang Dongfang Kemai Technology Co Ltd.

In 2017, the Jiaxing Comprehensive Bonded Zone (B) generated 3.31 billion yuan ($470.62 million) in output value and had total tax revenue of 44.59 million yuan.

The zone approved customs declarations for 13,778 imports and exports and dealt with 6,159 bonded logistics procedures in 2017, when $1.9 billion worth of foreign trade products were delivered.
