Jiaxing company develops long-range thermodetector
Jiaxing-based Guangmu Technology Co Ltd developed a long-range infrared temperature measurement system to aid in the fight against the novel coronavirus pneumonia, local media reported on Feb 27.
The system is able to take temperatures on a large scale and at a safe distance, with an accuracy of within 0.06 degrees centigrade, greatly reducing the risk of cross-infection among frontline workers.
It works around the clock and will sound an alarm if it detects any abnormal body temperature or if anyone is not wearing a mask.
The system has been being used in Beijing for more than three weeks and will be installed at railway stations, airports, subway stations, shopping malls, office buildings, schools and other public places with large amounts of people.
