The second phase of construction on the China Jushi Intelligent Manufacturing Base, costing 10 billion yuan ($1.41 billion), broke ground in Tongxiang, a county-level city in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, on March 20, local media reported.

The base is expected to manufacture high-end products, including electronic fiberglass and yarns for wind power generation, in order to satisfy the demands of the 5G communication, smart vehicle, clean energy, energy conservation, and environmental protection industries.

The base will include three massive electronic fiberglass production lines and three massive reinforced-fiberglass production lines with an expected annual output of 800 million meters of electronic cloth and 450,000 tons of reinforced yarn.

Internet of things technology will be adopted to make the entire manufacturing process controllable, optimizable, visible, and traceable, and a big data cloud platform will also be created for product manufacturing to improve service quality by quickly responding to orders from clients and automatically optimizing production scheduling.

China Jushi Co Ltd, which funds the China Jushsi Intelligent Manufacturing Base, is one of the largest new material companies in China and specializes in the manufacture and sale of fiberglass and related fabrics.

The company has three domestic production bases located in Tongxiang, Jiujiang, and Chengdu, respectively, and one overseas production base in Egypt. It also has 14 overseas production and trading subsidiaries in South Africa, France, Italy, Canada, Spain, India, and Singapore.
