Jiaxing ranks 7th in business climate among YRD cities
Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province ranked seventh place in business environment among 27 cities in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region, according to an assessment report.
The reported was released at a recent business environment forum – 2020 Doing Business in the YRD, which was sponsored by the Center for Information Studies affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and another two agencies.
The results were based on industry, talent, investment, social development, market, government, and legal environment. Preferential policies provided to local companies were also included in the assessment.
Jiaxing has implemented a series of reforms to offer local residents and companies convenient services. For example, it just takes one day to set up a company in Nanhu district, Xiuzhou district has streamlined the approval process for land use planning, and Pinghu county has simplified taxpaying procedures.
Moreover, the city issued preferential policies to help companies weather difficulties brought about by the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak.
Jiaxing authorities also dispatched more than 6,400 government officials to help local companies solve problems in resuming production and sent charted buses, planes and trains to retrieve workers living outside the city.
Haining, a county in Jiaxing, ranked in the top 10 among 88 district and counties in the YRD region in terms of convenient business environment.
