The Jiaxing Art Kindergarten in Jiaxing Science City, Jiaxing, Zhejiang province is scheduled to open to the public on Oct 9, local media reported on Sept 16.

The kindergarten will have a total of 15 classes and enroll students living in the Eurasian Community and Asia-Pacific Community. The school has enrolled 125 students so far.

According to Li Fang, the school's principal, if there are any extra spots, they will allocate them to students living outside of the two communities.

Li said that the school will encourage students to pursue a variety of different subjects and has designated facilities for recreation, art, cooking, science, and music.

The Jiaxing Science City Preschool Education Development Alliance was inaugurated on the same day.

The alliance will focus on improving kindergartens in Jiaxing Science City by establishing exchanges platforms for principals and teachers and offering teachers opportunities for advanced study and training.

Jiaxing Science City has always stressed the importance of education and strived to make the city a desirable place to attend school. At present, Jiaxing Science City houses 19 schools ranging from kindergartens to colleges.
