YRD Elite Summit held in Jiaxing

The Starlit South Lake Yangtze River Delta (YRD) Elite Summit was held in Wuzhen, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province on Sept 26, local media reported.
The summit was attended by more than 20 academicians from China and abroad.
Zhou Guohui, vice-chairman of the CPPCC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, said at the opening ceremony of the summit that the Zhejiang provincial Party committee has decided to build a strong Zhejiang by attracting skilled professionals and promoting innovation.
He added that in recent years, Jiaxing has led other cities in Zhejiang in attracting talent through a series of preferential policies and efficient services. It has also cooperated with YRD cities in talent exchange and sharing.
Zhejiang will invite more talent and continue to offer them the best support, according to Zhou.
Zhang Bing, Party secretary of Jiaxing, briefed attendees on the city's economic and social development, saying that, nearly 100 years after the founding of the Communist Party of China, Jiaxing is firmly on the path of high-quality development, largely thanks to the national push to the integrate development in the YRD.
He noted that Jiaxing is more in need of professionals than ever before and is in a better position to guarantee the success of those who come to work in the city.
Li Lanjuan, academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering and infectious disease expert, was employed as a consultant for the summit at the opening ceremony.
The summit has been held for 12 years and attended by more than 3,000 experts and high-profile professionals from over 30 countries and regions.
