Jiacheng Posthouses: A big hit in Jiaxing
Jiacheng Posthouses in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, recently went viral among local residents, Jiaxing Daily reported on Dec 7.
The posthouses include toilets, nursing rooms, resting rooms, a voluntary service center, vending machines, e-book lending machines, lockers, umbrellas, charging stations and first-aid kits.
These posthouses have been mistaken as cafes by people who view them from a distance.
With huge floor-to-ceiling windows and elegant wooden buildings, these Jiacheng Posthouses are surrounded by verdant vegetations.
The Posthouse Coffee House is the biggest highlight of the Jiacheng Posthouses. In addition to freshly brewed coffee and other drinks, the coffee house also offers hundreds of books, including newspapers and magazines.
Senior residents around Jiacheng Posthouses have accustomed to the convenient rest places and some intangible cultural heritage exhibitions and other activities are usually held at the posthouses.
At present, Jiaxing has built 10 such posthouses around the city.
