An elevated passageway in the Southwest Lake area of Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, will be opened to the public on New Year's Day, local media reported on Dec 7.

The route extends 3 kilometers and connects the South Lake, a 5A-level scenic spot, with the Southwest Lake and the Revolutionary Memorial Museum in the city.

A wide varieties of trees and recreational facilities will be situated on either sides of the passage. A service center will also be built in the middle, offering amenities such as a cafe, a bar and a wedding dress boutique.

The most anticipated part of the passage is the light shows that will be put up after nightfall.
