Four roads in the prefecture-level city of Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province,  recently won provincial recognition for their landscaping, according to local media reports on Feb 19.

The Wangdian town section of Jiaxing-Haining Road, or Jiahai Road, extends 10.2 kilometers and connects Wangdian, the Jiaxing Modern Logistics Industrial Park, Maqiaoji town and downtown Jiaxing.

On both sides of the road, there is Meili Park as well as special trading streets, showcasing both the ancient and modern style of the 1,000-year-old Wangdian.

With its total length of 6.9 km, Pinghu-Xingta Road, or Pingxing Road, connects downtown Pinghu, Xindai subdistrict and Xingta town in the Jinshan district of Shanghai.

The road also links the idyllic scenery, farming culture and the cultural landscape in the county level city in Jiaxing, which it is believed will contribute to the development of the local rural tourism industry.

To date, Pinghu has invested 249 million yuan ($38.49 million) in renovating Pingxing Road and improving the landscape on both sides of the thoroughfare.

Jiashan Avenue is located in the Luoxing subdistrict of Jiashan county and reportedly reduces the travel time from the downtown area to Jiashan South Station and the access to the Shanghai-Hangzhou Highway to within 15 minutes.

Along the avenue, a number of landmark buildings in Jiashan have been built, including the Jiashan Talent and Innovation Park.

The Binhai Road in Haiyan county spans 15.6 km starting from South Huancheng Road to the south and ending in the Xitangqiao subdistrict to the north. The road connects many scenic spots in the county, including the Binhai Park, Wetland Park and Menghu Park.
