Siruchun is a time-honored brand owned by Jiaxing Catering Service Co in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province.

Established in 1920 by Bai Tisheng of the Hui ethnic group, Siruchun Restaurant originally only offered halal food with a Henan flavor, including fried beef dumplings, spiced beef, and beef entrails.

As the restaurant gained popularity among local residents, Bai added halal stir-fried dishes to the menu and tried mixing halal dishes with Hangzhou dishes, which are popular throughout Zhejiang.

His original dishes, including stewed assorted meat, have since become Siruchun's main specialty.

After generations of steady improvement, Siruchun's dishes are now known for being crisp, well-cooked, fragrant, and crunchy. Siruchun also mixes the Hangzhou cooking style with the unique halal cooking method for beef and mutton, making the dishes more palatable to Jiaxing natives.

Its trademark dish "Bai family baozi", or steamed stuffed bun is quite well-known throughout the city. The steamed stuffed buns are handmade from the best flour, two-year-old yellow beef, Jiaxing-grown fresh chives, and a patrimonial flavoring agent.

They are popular not only among Jiaxing residents, but also among the many tourists that visit from Shanghai and Jiangsu province every year.
