Tongxiang, a county-level city in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, held events to celebrate the 100-day countdown to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China on March 23.

Local CPC members were encouraged to record an audio file or a video to review the history of the CPC or their original aspirations.

Reading pavilions have also been established at Tongxiang Library and the Bohong Study of Tongxiang, where local residents can volunteer to record what they want to say to the Party.

"Being a CPC member carries a lot of responsibility," said Lyu Jia, Party secretary of Dongxing Community, Wutong subdistrict, Tongxiang, adding that he is committed to managing the business district under his administration and serving local individual businesses and residents.

In order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, Tongxiang formulated a work plan for celebrations in September last year.

According to the plan, the city is expected to hold 103 celebratory activities this year, including conventions, cultural activities, and trade fairs.
