The Hangzhou-Haining railway will open to the traffic by the end of June after three months of trial operation with no loads, local media reported on April 14.

It would take about half an hour to run from Yuhang Railway Station in Hangzhou to the Leather City Station in Haining, Jiaxing.

The train operating on the railway is 80 meters long, 2.88 m wide, 3.8 m tall, and weighs 140 metric tons. It has 182 seats and four carriages, which can accommodate up to 1,100 passengers.

The interior of the train is mostly white, and the poles inside combine curves and straight lines, resembling the famous Qianjiang Tide in Haining county.

The logo for the railway consists of a red oval and a white "H", representing the integration of Hangzhou and Haining.

The railway received nearly 14.2 billion yuan ($2.19 billion) in investment and spans a length of 48.1 kilometers. It starts at the Yuhang High-speed Station in Hangzhou and ends at the International Campus of Zhejiang University Station in Haining. It has 12 stations in total.
